ABOUT ME
Samantha is a second year Creative Industries student at Ryerson University. She is currently enrolled in full time studies whilst working as an office administrative assistant for an orthopaedic surgeon and as a server for Moxies. Her dedication and desire to continuously learn and improve her skills are two of her greatest assets.
Samantha has previously taken part in Accenture's intensive craft and consult program designed to let teams of students solve a real-world, not-for-profit challenge. Her team designed and proposed a solution to United Way Toronto & York Region for increasing donor retention and engagement among millennials. After a successful pitch, they worked closely with senior United Way T&YR staff to work towards the implementation of their recommendations.
She is currently taking part in a virtual business project with team members across four different time zones. With weekly participation in individual assignments and team meetings; they are working towards providing an analysis of McDonalds online presence and offering recommendations for improvements. Her experience with the virtual business project has developed her virtual collaboration, team leadership, and cross-cultural communication skills.
Through resources provided by Ryerson University she is pursuing her passion for the digital enterprise and seeking to intern in a technological firm. She hopes to complete two full internships throughout her time at Ryerson. After university she hopes to use her interdisciplinary knowledge of business and media to work in the technological field of artificial intelligence.
